NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS, AGENTS AND INTERNET CAFÉ OWNERS

NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS, AGENTS AND INTERNET CAFÉ OWNERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the general public that the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) is implementing the electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System platform that enables suppliers to register with ZPPA and conduct public procurement processes online with various procuring entities (public institutions).

However, it has come to the attention of ZPPA that some agents and internet cafés owners are registering suppliers on the e-GP System using their own email addresses contrary to using email addresses for the owners of the companies. This has resulted in some suppliers not receiving tender notices. The use of email addresses for agents or owners of cafes is also contrary to the e-GP System’s General Terms of Use which requires each company registered on the e-GP System to have its own email address. (Clause 10 (1) (2))

The Authority is notifying suppliers, agents and internet café owners that it will NOT APPROVE any companies registered with emails that have already been used to register other companies on the e-GP system.

Suppliers are also urged to ensure that they provide correct and accurate email addresses during the registration process of their companies on the e-GP System. This will enable them to receive tender notices from public institutions as well as other public procurement related information from procuring entities.

Further, ZPPA wishes to urge all suppliers or companies registered on the e-GP System to verify their emails on their accounts and ensure that the owners/directors/employees’ emails are used. The public is further warned that the Authority will deactivate all accounts that will have email addresses belonging to more than one company by 31st December 2019.
